“Sir, what are some of the challenges that might come against the role?”

Someone asked this question to our HR which we believe everyone should know about.

So, let’s put you at ease by answering this question in our FAQ series blog. This will further help you to efface any more doubts and be more upbeat on your decision on joining us.

It all starts with a challenge. Whatever we do, it seems a bit tricky in the beginning. In a situation like this one should buckle up their seatbelt, communicate and embrace a positive attitude.

So, again, how do you take on challenges?

First thing first, we truly expect you to face some challenges in the beginning. Why do you ask? Because it’s not like any other internship where you will be asked to do this and this. Also, it will be overwhelming as it’s not often that people are given huge responsibilities of an entire project. Hence,

Challenges that might occur?

  1. Becoming a team member

After choosing your project you will be given the freedom to manage it entirely with your team. It’s really important to coordinate your efforts with your team as they might have different ways of doing things or timings to be active.

As you may know when you work as a team your rewards are tied to that of a team. So, if your team prospers because of better performance then your growth is also tied with it or vice versa.

2. Freedom-cum-responsibilities

You will be given the freedom you need. But with freedom comes responsibility. You will be pushed to come up with ideas which you can implement to have massive impact. You will be asked to carve your own path and come up with something unique and efficient.

Again, it’s not us who will do that, it’s you.

We can only provide you with the necessary guidance in a troublesome situation but how you move forward after it depends on your own calibre and acumen.

3. Struggling what to do

It’s not what has been done that matters but what you would be doing now to transcend all your earlier efforts that matter. Sometimes you will struggle to cope up with your tasks and not know what you should do next.

When it comes to that the best advice which everyone follows here is to communicate. Communicate whenever you are stuck but again the path shown to you needs to be covered by your own efforts and deliberation. Create a to-do of tasks to be performed in advance and try not to remain idle for long. Set due dates, ask for help from team mates or give a call to our co-founder.

If nothing works, we have an entire project called ‘Team Productivity’ to help you out.

4. Fighting your fear

Do you sometimes think why are you not perfect at some things? And, because of this, you fear that you are not good enough?

Well, to break it to you, it’s a negative way of seeing a problem. We too accept that we are not good at everything and there’s someone who’s doing it better than us. There’s nothing wrong in it. But what’s wrong is that you believe you can’t do things any better.

In this internship, we will teach you how to fight your fears and surmount your shortcomings. There will always be a person to whom you can approach to take advice. After all, when you accept your fears only then you are determined to change that part of you. No matter what happens, never think that it’s difficult for you. If someone else has done it then you can too. After all, you are a being with a billion possibilities and getting things done is the only way you learn at Comunev.

5. Think as a team

Since you will be working as a team you need to accept and give regards to others’ point of view too. For this, you need to be frank and understand how and why a person thinks that way. For this to happen you need to communicate more and more frequently. You may think it’s easy but communication is also a skill and you will learn it when you are with us.

So do you want to improve? Well, of course, you want to. But, how?

You improve by learning. And, if you wish to improve a lot you need to learn a lot and for that, you need to accept challenges and work on it.

Here you will be facing challenges not only in the first week, not only in the first month but you will be facing some sort of challenge every day at the very least. That we promise. But swords aren’t made without a beating. Iron hardens with blows. This internship is not your regular internship where interns are given minor jobs, disrespectful tasks and just plain non-challenging work.

If you are the kind of person who’ll go any lengths to improve, learn and excel, we promise to give you the fuel to do it.

So, if you believe that you can face challenges and want to improve by working on it then it’d be our pleasure to have people like you in our company.
