E-Cigarettes, Otherwise Known As Vaping
Flying under the radar a new, more sexier way to smoke creeped in.
Those like myself who are parents of young children or anyone concerned with health epidemics are rightly concerned about the increasing use of vaping, especially among the younger generation. We’ve all heard statistics citing sharp increases of users month over month, year after year with no real action being taken by the governments to either restrict or ban it. That of course, led to businesses cashing in on the new, more addictive and immensely profitable new vape market.
This new market though isn’t new, rather, its an evolution of the tobacco industry of the pre-2000s exploiting the sex appeal of a next-gen toxic substance with the focus again on getting people addicted young so they have another generation of addicts to profit from.
There is a mainstream knowledge gap concerning e-cigs. Most people who watch short news segments or casually googles it comes out with a basic understanding of why it’s a hazard. I want to cover that but I also want to give you more of an understanding; where it comes from, what is the real purpose is, health benefits and risks (short and long term) and why it is in fact, a health epidemic.
With that in mind, we’re going to cover as much about this as we possibly can for the next few months.
