Provenance Tags has successfully integrated their encrypted track and trace solution with the Concordium mainnet.

Provenance tags allow manufacturing companies to ensure the authenticity and traceability of their products by integrating the solutions with their enterprise applications, such as ERP, MES, and PLM, as well as their manufacturing and supply chain processes.

Our Apps and Cloud Native infrastructure are seamlessly integrated with the Concordium blockchain. The native ID framework offers best-in-class Track & Trace solutions for small and large companies in many industries, allowing them to trade products such as NFTs on any CIS-2 compliant exchange.

The solution developed by Provenance Tags leveraging Concordium blockchain, presents an opportunity for frictionless implementation of blockchain technology for enterprises. The Track & Trace solution allows companies to onboard blockchain solutions that help protect brand-value and build customer loyalty.

As technology advances, an increasing number of daily activities are being performed without the need for physical contact. People worldwide are utilizing a variety of tools such as mobile phones, wearable devices, and smart cards to accomplish tasks including making payments, gaining access to buildings, accumulating loyalty rewards, and using public transportation. Additionally, with the use of smartphones and other mobile devices, consumers have the ability to verify the authenticity of products they purchase, ensuring they receive genuine items.

Provenance Tags is a solution that aims to achieve this goal by providing a way for consumers to easily verify the authenticity of products and for manufacturers to deter the production and distribution of counterfeit goods.

Elevate your product tracking to a new level of security and transparency with Concordium Blockchain and Provenance Tags. Safeguard your brand and verify the authenticity of your products by logging all manufacturing and supply chain data. Integration is simple and flexible with options such as REST, Smart Phone SDK, Kafka, MQTT. No technical expertise? Reach out to Provenance Tags to handle the integration, assist in selecting the right Tags, and build a custom smartphone App to validate Provenance Tags. Embrace the power of secure and traceable supply chain management now.

Users also benefit from a feature where our Provenance Tags can be released — from our Provenance Tags Smart Contract — into CIS-2 compliant NFTs. After this the NFT can be traded further by the owner on different platforms, for example on SpaceSeven.

So when someone buys a physical product with a Provenance Tag they also optionally get ownership of one NFT they can use to trade the physical product further.

There are many different companies and organizations that have experienced problems with counterfeit or falsified copies of their products being sold as the real thing, some industries where this problem is particularly prevalent include:

  1. Luxury goods: High-end brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Chanel are frequently targeted by counterfeiters, who produce fake versions of their products and sell them at a lower price.
  2. Pharmaceuticals: Counterfeit medications are a major problem, as they can be dangerous or ineffective and can undermine the trust of consumers in the legitimate pharmaceutical industry.
  3. Consumer electronics: Counterfeit electronic products, such as phones and tablets, are often produced in large quantities and sold at a lower price, which can be tempting for consumers.
  4. Apparel: Counterfeit clothing and accessories are often produced in countries with lower labor and production costs and then sold as the real thing.
  5. Auto parts: Counterfeit auto parts can pose a safety risk, as they may not meet the same quality standards as the genuine parts.

It is important to note that counterfeiting and falsification are illegal activities that can have serious consequences for both consumers and the companies whose products are being copied. Companies can take steps to protect their intellectual property and help prevent counterfeiting, such as using security features on their products and working with law enforcement to investigate and prosecute counterfeiting operations.
