Instagram have announced a new feature called Stories in a recent post on the Instagram Blog

The new feature allows users to share photos and videos that appear together in a slideshow format that disappears after 24 hours.

Instagram stories

“With Instagram Stories, you don’t have to worry about overposting. Instead, you can share as much as you want throughout the day — with as much creativity as you want. You can bring your story to life in new ways with text and drawing tools. The photos and videos will disappear after 24 hours and won’t appear on your profile grid or in feed.”

The new feature is being compared by many to Snapchat’s feature (also called Stories). Instagram’s move to add Stories may have been influenced by Snapchat’s recent rise in popularity and usership. But should Snapchat be worried? We’d love to hear your thoughts, tweet us @GlassDigital & vote in our Twitter poll.
