I am grateful for sunshine…

There was a time in my life when I believed that the sun was the cause of skin cancer and wrinkles. Little did I realised that without sunlight we would all be dead. No plants and no animals. Sunlight is the switch that turns on all life on Earth, as it were. Therefore, I am grateful for sunlight. I no longer use sunscreen religiously, as recommended by all the Cancer Councils. I believe that wearing a hat is sufficient. We are meant to thrive in sunlight, not fear it compulsively. Irrational fear—as I have learnt the hard way is very destructive to one’s health.
