Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Correa’s amendment to allow Veterans Affairs doctors to recommend medical marijuana to veterans was blocked.

Rep. Correa said, “I am disappointed this amendment was blocked but I will continue to keep working on this issue. For many veterans, medical marijuana is the most effective tool for treating PTSD. Our veterans have served our country. They are heroes. If medical marijuana brings them relief, the we should give it to them.

I will continue to push this issue until every veteran has access to the medicine and care they need.”
