Laura Kline-Taylor, the Interim Director of Education at AFS International, has left her current role in the organization at the end of June to embark on a new career path as a career and life coach.

Since joining AFS in 2010, Laura has taken on progressively greater responsibilities within the Education & Intercultural Learning department at AFS International, in January 2015 becoming the Interim Director. The AFS Intercultural Link Learning Program, the AFS network-wide training and assessment program designed to enhance the intercultural competence of the staff and volunteers of AFS, is one of her greatest achievements for the organization. Her work included developing the Learning Program curriculum and materials, as well as setting up and overseeing the certification process of non-formal education facilitators. Laura has frequently led different Learning Program events and has made many strong connections across the AFS network in the process.

Thanks in large part to Laura’s contributions, the AFS network has a firmly established, high quality training program on intercultural learning that improves how we help others connect and become interculturally competent global citizens.

We are proud to have worked with Laura over the past five years and thank her for her dedication, hard work and accomplishments in support of the AFS mission. Laura will stay connected to AFS as a volunteer and will be also doing some work in a consultant capacity. Please join us in thanking Laura and wishing her all the best in her new endeavors.
