I don’t think jobseekers should write cover letters unless you’re seeking writing jobs or need to explain something strange, like a career transition.

But, if you ever find yourself writing a cover letter or an intro to a recruiter/hiring manager, this quick read is a great reminder of the crucial ability to EDIT what you wrote so you get to the point, and can get on with life :)
