I hate knowing that there are brilliant, passionate, talented, beautiful, creative, people in this world who are kept out of the things they love because of our short-sighted middle-school-grade ethics around just letting people — ANYONE — do the things they love.

Why are we standing in our own way so much of the time.

Clémentine Pirlot i hope you never stop finding the things you love and you never ever stoop so low that you ever accept the table scraps that “tech” deigns to throw your way.

There’s so much good in the world that coding allows you to do. Don’t believe for one second you need to be working on someone else’s dream if it’s not helping you achieve yours.

I hope my daughters have a better world. But I’m not a fool. I know they will have to fight this battle alongside you.

And so I arm them for war. And I teach them to love with open hands and help those less fortunate. And I dream dreams with them that are too big to ever be soiled by anything in this world.

And they will win this war.

And so will you.

Thank you for fighting.
