Just Breathe.

This is my reminder to stop taking things so seriously that you can’t make time for the fun things.

For laughing – from your belly.

For telling really, really dumb jokes.

For pretending you’re an animal with your daughter who got her face painted. Because – why not?

For putting your surgically-attached phone somewhere else for a while and getting really lost in someone else’s presence for a good, long time.

For being human, not a job description.

Because those moments will be gone faster than this very short paragraph.

And your daughter will be too cool to be silly anymore.

And you’ll have all the time in the world for “serious” stuff.

Only then might you realize that the seemingly silly things were actually the most serious things of them all.

Yeah I’m a lucky man
