Curious is a team that started with the aim to bridge the gap between time and space. As the end deliverable of the project, we developed customized kits that would include various kinds of digital projections as a medium to interact with the users. Our focus was to give a user experience interaction through space. Throughout the course, our brief changed along with the different ideation processes. We started by exploring various projections that we could make and understood how they added value to the experience.

We developed a customizable kit for our user that would include different kinds of projections like hologram 3D glasses and VR set. We made this projection out of cardboard, cellophane paper, and other materials. Our target audience was mainly businesses that require such kits in a large number. It was a business to business motive. Our kits could be used by large distributors like music concert sponsors, tourist planners, wedding planners or in the sector of corporate gifts by various companies. To demonstrate our idea we prepared three different various kits designed for three different sectors.

The first kit was developed for a musical concert named sunburn in India which lasts three days long. The concert takes place in different cities in India every year. The ticket prices for the concert start at 2000rs onwards. We thought of making a kit that could be presented with the ticket for the premium customers of the concert. The kit included a lineup of the events, navigation map of the place where the concert was going to take place. It also included fridge magnets, souvenirs, stickers’ entry tickets, and concert bands. The main highlight of the kit was that it comprised of a VR kit with all the other items. The purpose of the VR kit is that it would have a QR code attached to it. When the user scans the QR code on the VR the VR would show behind the scenes of the sunburn concert that happened last year. It would glimpses of the atmosphere of the concert as well as shots from their favorite performance stars as well. That would not only create a virtual experience for the user but it would also create hype for the user that they are going to visit this year.

The second kit was for a wedding invite. The wedding kit would include the ceremony invites which would be in an interactive manner. The card would have a narrative of the couple and the list of ceremonies that are going to take place. It would also include a save the date scribble card of the couple which would be accompanied by the red lens glasses. It would include dates as well as Ganesh idol for the new beginnings. Again this kit would include a VR set that would have a QR code on it. When the user scans the QR code they would be able to watch the premarital shoot of the couple inviting them to their marriage which would add value to their experience. Also, the other idea that could be used for the VR is that it could be used to give a live experience of the marriage to the people who live in foreign countries and are not able to attend the marriage physically.

The third kit was for a tourist industry like Thomas cook. So we explained our travel kit with an example. The kit was for a group of people traveling to a destination via Thomas cooking bookings and Thomas cook wants to provide the tickets along with a traveler’s kit. This kit was still in progress by the team but we developed a look-alike for the presentation. The kit comprised a 3D itinerary that would come with a pair of 3D glass. Also, it would include all the famous tourist spots even if it is not a part of the tour. It would also have a cultural reference to the place visiting. It would have an eye pillow mask, a power bank, branding tags and stickers of the Thomas cook.

The purpose of these kits is to deliver an experience that would add more value to their physical reality. We supported this business idea with an interface that would be in the form of a website through which people can contact us. It would have details about our team as well as the work we do. In the end, it would help fix an appointment for a further part of the business. The idea is to be able to provide experience via it’s to the users in their customized style and budget for different events of life.
