How Ecuadorian people are

This video was made for our Semiotics class. It was made by Daniela Campos and me. In this video we want to show you how Ecuadorians define themselves. As we know each Ecuadorian has a different perception, because identity is subjective and it is based on each experience. We would like to show you this video because people explain how Ecuadorian people are, and how they represent themselves in one word. It is interesting how people from the same city and the same country build a different type of Ecuadorian. Now we would like to known how you define an Ecuadorian person.

We try to choose people from different categories. Like social class, race, sex and ages. So we can have different opinions about what it means to be an Ecuadorian person. Also, we decide to do this video in the old city because it is an important side in the History of our city and our country. Here we can see old infrastructure. We selected this song in the background called “Amor equivocado” because we think this music identifies us as Andean.
