Connection Loops Launches App To Order Vegetables Directly From Farmers
Direct From Farms To Your Home…
In association with Swabhimani Shetakari Sanghatana (स्वाभिमानी शेतकरी संघटना), Connection Loops launched an app called “Swabhimani Shetakari”, that enables its users to purchase fruits and vegetables directly from farmers without any middleman providing assurance of highest quality produce at the right price.
The idea for the app was inspired by Dr. Ashutosh Patil, a renowned cancer specialist from Bangalore when one of his patients, a farmer expressed concerns about lack of marketplace amongst the ongoing lockdown in India.
Connection Loops, always ready to contribute to the society in meaningful ways, jumped at this opportunity and partnered with Dr. Ashutosh Patil to provide the technology backend, and take care of the app development. Quickly enough, Mr. Raju Shetty, the most prominent leader of farmers in India came on board with members of his Swabhimani Shetakari Sanghatana (स्वाभिमानी शेतकरी संघटना) joining in as first suppliers on the platform. The App was launched to public on 16th April 2020 following a Zoom conference.
How it works
The app is currently available on Android & iOS. Users can download from PlayStore or AppStore by searching “Swabhimani Shetakari”. Links are also posted here:

Once downloaded, its really easy and intuitive to use, just register using the phone number, enter the OTP received, you’ll see vegetables and fruits from nearby farmers.
Please note the app is currently only available in Ichalkaranji area, and would soon be expanding to other regions really quickly.
