Technology is now the main tool that leads the way in worldwide education at every level, turning the students into lead characters and major consumers of this era.

The Digital Age is our reality and is entirely changing the game and every aspect in our societies: building smart cities, optimizing processes, creating new opportunities, and in a few words: “simplifying our lives”.

Anyone with a mobile device and internet connection can perform countless actions and operations with one single click, pay for services and make money transfers without endless lines at the bank, even buy the weekly groceries without leaving home.

Technology is now the main tool that leads the way in worldwide education at every level, turning the students into lead characters and major consumers of this era.

Through new digital platforms, virtual education (so-called e-learning) processes continue to expand and generate greater impact, mainly in the newest generations, who are the most assiduous to use this approach as an important source that complements and contributes to their education.

At the same time, technology has revolutionized the role of tutors and professors who, besides their teaching duty, have new responsibilities, becoming mediators and guides in learning processes of a student community immerse in Internet and social media.

Higher (and more Digital) Education

Now, let’s focus on higher education, a very competitive category where Business Schools and Universities must remain at the forefront and turn themselves into modern and connected institutions, able to innovate and respond to the sector’s needs.

Technology moves pretty fast and every campus must rethink the way to face and overcome this challenge, not only continue to contribute to the teaching mission, but also improve the students’ prospection.

To survive in a cyberworld, higher educational institutions must update their business models and build strategies to adapt their curricula to the digital era, improve user experience, at the same time protect their privacy and make the most from innovation.

Nowadays, students want to get access to knowledge and information, anywhere and anytime! Addressing this kind of needs will make those institutions more attractive to students that believe digital-oriented institutions fit them better. Institutions that are doing their best to avoid academic desertion and, in general, prepare their students for a professional future based on human, academic and digital skills.

Although including new technologies in teaching methods can seem like a huge challenge, it can also open up a goldmine of opportunities, changing the paradigms of education and allowing a more “flexible education” that could be adapted to each student, providing interactive learning, supporting better remote working, and encouraging feedback and data analysis.

Technology also makes the student’s life easier, facilitating processes such as enrollment, courses subscriptions, tuition payments, announcements and documents publishing, academic support and employability.

But Digitalization is much more than devices and modern infrastructure, it’s also about engagement, about creating real bonds between members and make them feel part of a community, where all can stay connected, sharing knowledge, learning from each other experiences and creating new social or business opportunities.

Digital tools have the power to strengthen connectivity and firm up the sense of identity and belonging to a community. Alumni, for example, is a key element for any educational institution’s success, and staying connected to this important part of the community, monitoring their professional development and recognizing their achievements are crucial to sculpt the institution’s prestige and enhance the image of the school.

Can you imagine a professional network, all connected and sharing experiences and knowledge about their fields and expertise? Digitalization can provide that and many benefits more. Alumni can lead new programs, reinforce study schemes, guide current students, organize workshops and tutorials based on their success, and make an invaluable network of contacts; all of this is possible, through the right digital tools and effective platforms to improve their connectivity.

Here is where Connexa comes to support. We understand the behavior, needs, and struggles of alumni, students, professors and business school staff when connectivity and communication between all the members do not have a clear direction.

After years of research and combined experiences developing online business solutions, we’ve built a unique framework to boost the potential of the Alumni Network by building relationships and dynamic communities to demonstrate the true power of connections.

Connexa provides a digital platform, effective tools and specific approaches to keep the community up-to-date, improve the communication channels, gather quality feedback, share useful and relevant information and content, minimizing efforts for the alma mater and getting the most from the community.

Through different features such as curated content, articles, newsletters, events management, business market opportunities, among many useful tools, academic institutions can provide real value to the Alumni community and engage them back with their Alma Mater to become their #1 promoters.

Remember: Digitalization is here to stay. It’s time to evolve, harvest the power of connections and take full advantage of the opportunities offered by this new era.
