Hello friends,

It’s been a busy few weeks here at Connext.

First, we met up in New York for Blockchain Week. We’re a distributed team, so this was the first time that the most of the core team has been in the same place in nearly a year!

After traveling home to our respective time zones, we’ve been sprinting to make the API changes necessary for simple wallet integrations and our v2.0 protocol spec, which we’ll detail in a technical post soon.

A few highlights from blockchain week:

What’s next?

💸 We’re working on a state channel JSON RPC standard which should allow wallets to inject support for Connext, Counterfactual and eventually other channel networks just like they currently inject web3. This means any dApp running in a browser will have access to state channels!

🌐 v2.0 of the Connext Network — which includes support for generalized state changes, multihop transactions (i.e. anyone can run a node!), and interoperates with the Counterfactual framework — is now officially under development.

📈 We’re growing. Five projects currently use Connext on mainnet, with another seven projects going live soon.

Pics or it didn’t happen

As always, get in touch with us by:

And lastly, please share this with your friends in the ecosystem if you find it interesting. We can’t wait to help enable instant, low cost Ethereum transactions in wallets, browsers, and applications.

Thanks for your support,

Team Connext
