We are delighted to announce that Connext has integrated Cronos, an EVM that interoperates with both the Ethereum and Cosmos ecosystems, into its network, enabling users to transfer assets between 11+ supported chains & Cronos instantly and cheaply at https://bridge.connext.network

Cronos is the first Ethereum-compatible blockchain network built on Cosmos SDK technology. It’s an open-source Layer 1 chain, Cronos aims to massively scale the DeFi and dApp (Web3) user community by providing builders with the ability to instantly port apps and crypto assets from other chains while benefiting from low transaction fees, high throughput, and fast finality.

Connext is building the interoperability network of sidechains & L2s. By adding support for Cronos chain, users will be able to onboard & offboard from the Cronos ecosystem directly from other L2s and sidechain systems, circumventing the need to pay for extra gas costs.

Cronos chain users will have additional routes to traverse between chains and interact with assets where and how they want. Users can now head over to https://bridge.connext.network and start cross-chain transfers with available supported assets (USDT/USDC).

About Connext

Connext is the interoperability protocol of L2 Ethereum.

Connext enables sending value and calling contracts across Ethereum-compatible chains and L2s. It is the only interoperability system that does this cheaply and quickly without introducing any new trust assumptions. Connext is aimed at developers who are looking to build bridges and other natively crosschain applications. To date, over $1.5b in transactions have crossed the network.
