Decentral Games Goes Live with Vector
Ethereum-Matic transfers in your favorite metaverse casino!
Two weeks ago, we went to mainnet with Vector: our crosschain routing network for Ethereum, L2s, and Eth2 shards. Since then, we’ve been working on getting Vector integrated into your favorite Ethereum L2 projects.
Today, we’re excited to announce that the first user of Vector, Decentral Games, is live with instant transfers of $DAI and $MANA from Ethereum to Matic and back!
🐢 Slow Deposits Kill Conversion
Decentral Games the world’s first community-owned metaverse casino. In the two months(!) that it’s been live, DG has grown to an astounding $9.45m in monthly betting volume and $1m in DAO treasury value!
Decentral Games utilizes Matic to cut down on gas costs and provide a seamless user experience while playing games. However, users of DG need to bridge funds from Ethereum to Matic and back using the Matic POS bridge every time they use the virtual casino. This means it took 5–7 minutes to onboard and up to 2 hours to exit from the system. Using Connext, Decentral Games cut down the time taken for a deposit to about as long as two Ethereum transactions.

😎 Using the New DG Deposit Flow
Users can move funds into DG using the Add Tokens button on the top right of the screen. After doing this, you’ll see the following dashboard:
Hitting Deposit or Withdraw for $DAI or $MANA will open up a widget that guides you through the process. You’ll need to send funds to the address in the widget using Metamask to kick off the process.
After a few minutes, you’ll see a success screen and your new balance will pop up in your Metamask account on Matic as well as the above balances dashboard. That’s how simple it is. 💥
