We are very excited to announce that Connext is forming a partnership with LayerSwap to enable cross-chain transfers from multiple exchanges to different supported L2s and sidechain solutions. The integration is now live starting with Polygon support!

LayerSwap allows users to send crypto from their crypto exchange account directly to L2s networks like Arbitrum, Optimism & zkSync without paying high Gas fees. LayerSwap uses Bransfer to receive tokens from the user’s exchange account into the LayerSwap exchange account.

Connext is a network that enables sending value and calling contracts across Ethereum-compatible chains and L2s. By leveraging Connext, Layerswap users can on-ramp from CEXs to a broader list of chains without introducing any new trust assumptions as Connext expands to more networks.

How does it work?

The flow is pretty much straightforward, and the same as any other LayerSwap transactions initially:

- User selects the exchange & the chain

- User inputs destination address + amount

- LayerSwap detects the deposits on its exchange account

- LayerSwap initiates the transfer with Connext to the requested receiving chain

LayerSwap uses Connext under the hood — Instead of dividing liquidity into multiple chains, LayerSwap concentrates all liquidity into one chain and initiates cross-chain transactions with Connext, enabling a higher volume of transactions. Polygon is live on LayerSwap, and within the next few weeks, more chains supported by Connext will be added.

We are very excited to be working closely with the LayerSwap team on pushing forward and improving the user experience of on-ramping to L2s. With combining forces LayerSwap and Connext aim to provide the ultimate on-ramping experience. This expands to being a connecting layer between centralized exchanges and decentralized chains. We are building a future where anyone in the ecosystem will be able to transfer their assets from their fiat on-ramp provider — easily and without gas fees.

About LayerSwap

LayerSwap is a bridge between CeFi and DeFi.

LayerSwap allows users to send crypto exchange account directly to Layer 2 networks without paying high Gas fees. Supported networks include Arbitrum, Optimism, zkSync, Boba, and Ronin(Axie Infinity).

LayerSwap uses Bransfer (plaid for crypto) under the hood to handle exchange to exchange internal transactions which allow having gas-less deposits.

About Connext

Connext is the interoperability protocol of L2 Ethereum.

Connext enables sending value and calling contracts across Ethereum-compatible chains and L2s. It is the only interoperability system that does this cheaply and quickly without introducing any new trust assumptions. Connext is aimed at developers who are looking to build bridges and other natively cross-chain applications. To date, over $900m in transactions have crossed the network.
