While beginning with Conquest 2018, we set out with the mission to help best founders build great business and raise funds. One of the central ideas at Conquest is the belief that the smartest people have the ability to build great companies given the right environment and guidance.

We came up with a completely new model making a pivot from a Startup competition to a summer mentoring program at Bangalore for early age startup founders. Then began a search for the ten founders who will make it into the program.

We spread the word everywhere-accelerators, incubators, media, colleges to look for the first cohort for the Conquest Summer Mentoring program. We looked for founders who are relentlessly resourceful, amazing at selling, have almost invincible execution and are deeply motivated by their vision.

An important factor that came into play in registrations was also the new model which required founders to move in for one month for the program. This filtered for startups who were ready to shift for the company of other great founders and make the best of the program.

After receiving about 600 registrations from all kinds of startups on our Registrations & Shortlisting Partner: LetsVenture, we shortlisted the Top 50 and called them for Mentoring Sessions in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. The sessions constituted 5–6 individual sessions with industry leaders in Customer Acquisition, Scaling Up & Operations, Product Management, Fundraising and Tech.

From the feedback that we received from the mentors and LetsVenture, we shortlisted the following Top 10 startups for this edition:

  • Xwards Services Pvt Ltd: In-cab entertainment platform that brings fun-filled cab ride to commuters while enabling advertisers to promote their product to commuters.
