Happy 2021?
Hi all of you fab Conscious Being subscribers,
How are you all? Liz here, editor of Conscious Being, with a sincere apology for not having been more generous with the CB newsletter the past 6 months or so. A lot has changed for me, and I am slowly getting to grips with a few new roles in my life, as well as the pandemic.
I hope that you are all safe and well.
I won’t bore you with all of my personal changes (unless you want to know?), but there are some changes coming for Conscious Being. We are turning this fab little publication into a full blown digital magazine!! (Yay, go us!! Woo-hoo!!). I have a deputy editor and social media person onboard as well, to help me reach as many people as possible with this magazine. AND we have a bunch of new writers coming on board…
The digital magazine will launch mid to late spring. Our launch issue theme is “Leadership and Changemakers.” We want to show what leadership in the context of disability looks like, and how powerful disabled changemakers really are. We want to employ a disabled woman art designer to design the magazine for us, but we need help to make this happen, can you support us on Patreon? We have a goal to reach a monthly income of $300, which will enable us to pay an art designer, as well as continue to pay our writers. Help us reach this goal here — Conscious Being Patreon. Or you can do a one off donation here — Conscious Being Paypal . me.
The Medium publication will still be here after we launch the digital magazine — but it will become a space for our hottest stories and reviews, and hopefully entice people over to the digital mag.
My dream has always been to have a space where my voice, as a disabled women, could be heard. This is what Conscious Being is all about, recognising that disabled women matter, that their stories and voices matter, that they are valued and respected. You folks are definitely helping me build this type of platform.

“That’s “Miss Bikael Jordan” to You: How biking during COVID lifted my bipolar depression.”

best wishes,
