Hi subscribers!

I always want to be truthful, with others and with myself… and this little newsletter for Conscious Being is never going to be weekly. I had all the good intentions (as we all do a lot of the time), but it just wasn’t happening. Why? I have many hats on, I am a magazine editor, a disability awareness consultant, a speaker, and writer, and a lot of the time hobby practicer. I like my hobbies. I like playing piano, reading, crafting, hiking, binge watching the latest on Netflix. And I also am an agitator, someone who likes to challenge the status quo. Someone who wants to stick it to the man?!? and slow the hell down.

Being limb different I have always moved a few speed settings lower than your average non-disabled individual. I used to not be okay with that. In fact I used to push myself to keep up, and in the process exhaust myself, not only physically, but mentally as well. I’ve had enough of that. I am determined to work at my speed setting. I am happy to adjust my speed setting whenever I need to.

I am happy to not do a newsletter, if I want to read my book instead.

It’s not that I don’t care. But it’s that I care too much. I want to give you, my wonderful subscribers, and Conscious Being my best, and I can’t do that if I am stressed and anxious and feeling not good enough because I can’t keep up.

SO welcome to the occasional newsletter, where I feel that I can give you my best, even if it’s every week or once a month. Some days you might get multiple updates from me, sometimes it might be two months before you hear from me. But rest assured that Conscious Being itself will continue to publish new articles multiple times a week.

On that note, have you seen our latest article? It’s a wonderful, optimistic, dreamy one, where we can start thinking about where we are going to travel once it is safe to do so-

Also, we are aiming to publish Conscious Being as a magazine in May! We have two advertisers on board already and a number of amazing Patreons. This means that we can hire a disabled woman art designer to bring the magazine together. We still need your help though. Can you support us on Patreon? If you sign up before the 1st April your name will be printed on the inside cover of our very first issue! Making history peeps! With you on board!

Anyway, enough of my ramblings (though hopefully they were of interest), stay safe everyone, stay healthy, sending you all love.
