Consensus has been invited to join the European AI Alliance of the European Commission — Oleg Gutsol will represent Consensus Foundation at the Alliance.

On 10th of April 2018, twenty five European countries agreed to work together on the most important issues raised by Artificial Intelligence.

Given the scale of challenges associated with AI, the European Commission has appointed 52 experts to the new High Level Group of Artificial Intelligence, composed of members from academia, industry and civil society, and tasked to make recommendations on how to address mid-and long-term challenges and opportunities related to the topic of Artificial Intelligence.

In order to complement and support the work of the AI High Level Group, the European Commission launched the European AI Alliance — a community of stakeholders and experts in AI Field.

The input of the AI Alliance members will be included in the Group’s recommendations to the European Commission. The Group’s proposed guidelines will also be submitted for consultations with the members of the AI Alliance through a series of workshops.

Moreover, the discussions of the AI Alliance Members will directly contribute to the European debate on AI and will feed into the European Commission’s policy-making in this area: the policy development process, the legislative evaluation process and the development of a next-generation digital strategy.

Our team is very excited to be a member of the European AI Alliance and to have this opportunity to contribute to the European AI regulations development and to share our vision on key issues related to the use of Artificial Intelligence in the governance sector.
