Chicago — Oct 2–4, 2015

FOAM is a decentralized architecture office (ĐAO) working to apply blockchain technologies to the production of the built environment.

In collaboration with ConsenSys, FOAM is building a transparent, collaborative platform for architects and communities to initiate project ideas, find collaborators, fund them, and grow them together.

This weekend in Chicago, come visit their installation that uses excess energy from custom cryptocurrency mining rigs to inflate bubbles of space for social gathering and discussion.

Installation Oct 2–4: Learn about architecture, decentralized technologies, cryptocurrencies, community organizing, city space management, and the intersection of these areas. Or just come to hang out and get caffeinated with local Chicago Metropolis Coffee.

Discussion Oct 3: The Art of Economy — A day-long series of presentations and discussions on the triangular relations between decentralized technology, architecture and the office-form.

When?
Installation: Oct 2–4 11am-3pm
Discussion: Oct 3 2pm-7pm
Reception: Oct 3 7pm
BBQ: Oct 3 8pm-until
