Watch BlockApps introduce China Blockchain as a Service
One year ago BlockApps, together with key partners Microsoft & ConsenSys, launched Blockchain as a Service (Baas) to become the leading Ethereum for Enterprise platform.
Here is a transcript of the presentaion delivered by Victor Wong, CEO & Founder of BlockApps, in Shanghai,China during International Blockchain Week 2016.
About a year ago, we introduced the world to a new idea that was created by Andrew Keys of ConsenSys and launched with our partners, Microsoft and ConsenSys. That was Blockchain as a Service (BaaS).
For the first time ever, a normal developer could build a blockchain environment in a matter of minutes. Since then, there’s been an explosion of blockchain projects around the world. Over a thousand projects have been built on BaaS, with over 130 companies building them. These blockchain products are coming from Fortune 500 companies to small start ups. And they are disrupting industries as wide as banking, insurance , legal , supply chain, and healthcare just to name a few. These projects have been started up in over 14 different countries around the world.
But until very recently, one major market has always been missing… and that changes today. I’m very proud to announce for the first time, China Blockchain as a Service, we are launching with our key partner Microsoft and via 21vianet!
Now for the first time, Chinese developers will be able to access the same tools as blockchain developers around the world. But that’s not all… It won’t only be on Microsoft Azure. It will be on all major Chinese clouds, from Tencent Cloud , Aliyun Cloud, to Wancloud .
In order to fuel our expansion globally, and in China, we wanted to work with the best. And so we worked with investors from Hong Kong, China, and the US led by Fenbushi Capital and the Wanxiang Group. This has already led to us landing projects in China, including pilot production systems from Minsheng Insurance, Wanxiang Smart City, and Qianhai Smart City.
Now for the first time, we believe with China Baas, that China will become the largest blockchain market service in the world.
