The Consentium ecosystem is constantly growing and changing, and it’s about a lot more than Consentium itself. Our ecosystem has several on-going developments and announcements, which we’ve compiled in this week’s ecosystem update below.

Many of our community members faced long transaction time issues when depositing CSM (ERC20) into Digifinex. Let’s take a look at what is the problem and how it strengthens Consentium stance for migrating out of the Ethereum Network.

CSM SWAP UPDATE

CSM swap deadline on Digifinex will be extended to 9th August 2020, 11:00 (GMT +8). Please complete the swap as soon as possible and do not wait till nearing deadline to deposit CSM on Digifinex.

All CSM (ERC20) token holders will be able to deposit their tokens in Digifinex in order to swap for our new CSM tokens. There will not be another swap after the swap period ends so please complete the deposit as soon as possible.

Here are the steps and instructions for the Digifinex CSM swap.

1) Digifinex will resume CSM (ERC20) deposit on 27th July 2020, 11am (GMT+8) for users to swap tokens. Withdrawal for CSM on Digifinex will be closed. Do remember to generate a new CSM wallet address.

2) CSM holders will be able to deposit their CSM (ERC20) into Digifinex and it will be converted to the new CSM. Swap period will only last until 9th August 2020, 11am (GMT+8). All CSM (ERC20) must be swapped within this period.

3) After the swap period closes on 9th August, both withdrawal and deposit for CSM will pause for 2 days in order for the swap to be completed.

4) Deposits and withdrawals for new CSM will resume as per normal on 11th August 2020, 11 am (GMT+8). Do note that there will no longer be CSM (ERC20) trading on any exchanges.

STAKING UPDATE

We received multiple feedbacks from users regarding the “release” function on the wallet. We appreciate your comments as our new technology is relatively new and your user experience is extremely important to us!

Do keep in mind that our new blockchain, CSM Chain requires resources to operate all actions on-chain. Please take note of some of the important factors below:

1. Keep around 30% of your total balance in the wallet if you are staking in order to prevent issues of not being able to execute “release” function.

2. Prevent repeating multiple actions such as staking and release frequently. Treat the staking function like a fixed deposit in banks. Do not waste resources by making unnecessary actions on the wallet.

3. Rewards are calculated based on variable factors and the percentage of reward differs daily. Calculation and distribution of rewards are done automatically on the blockchain.
