TOKEN 2049 Hong Kong
Did you catch us at Hong Kong last week for TOKEN2049? We had a great time of catch up with our friends in the Hong Kong Blockchain Space. Despite the short stay, it was a very fulfilling trip for the team as we had accomplished our long list of to-dos with people to meet, projects to understand and partnerships to forge. We also co-hosted an event with OSL brokerage.

TenX Event
We were invited to meet up with the TenX community. The panel session was focused on the topics of financial inclusion, spendable cryptocurrencies, stable coins and the future of decentralised financial services through open standards and protocols to connect blockchains. It was an educating time which allowed us to understand more about the Crypto climate in Hong Kong. TenX also announced their exciting new project — Visa-backed Crypto payment card. This year’s TOKEN2049 was held at the Kerry Hotel which was a spectacular location. The Consentium team was geared up to catch our old friends and make new ones. We had the opportunity to also connect with up and coming projects to explore potential partnerships. These Blockchain projects include particl.io, ARCC and Hashgraph. We’re excited about what they can contribute to the Blockchain world as these innovations tap on the use for Blockchain in ways we did not imagine. We’ll definitely be in talks with them in the following weeks.

The Litecoin creator was discussing the platforms latest development and key milestones in the months to come, which includes their partnership with TokenPay and Confidential Transactions module.
Another major Appearance was from Charles Hoskinson Creator of Cardano.
He was more focus on speaking about the Path Ahead specifically the technology behind moving information at the speed of thought and what is installed for the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency in the coming year.
EThereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin was in town as well, there isn’t a video online so here is a quick recap of his speech.
He started by noting that finance is “realistically the first blockchain [application] that will probably achieve wide-scale adoption,” even though he is a self-declared huge fan of other applications. He also shared that those who are committed to Blockchain innovation should either tackle real-world problems or create a positive social impact. At the same time, he understands that the entertainment industry will be where “real-world” mass adoption of cryptocurrencies will take place.
Together with OSL Brokerage, Consentium had the honour of being a co-sponsor of the TOKEN2049 official networking event held at the Tazmania Ballroom. The team and a selected group of Consentium investors had a good time mingling with the crowd. Below are some of the night’s happenings:

TOKEN2049 has shown that the Crypto and BlockChain Market in Hong Kong is still forging ahead even though it is a Crypto winter period. The Consentium team had a great time of networking. With the new connections made, we’re sure to share some exciting updates in the coming weeks.
