Conservancy Coronavirus Update

In an abundance of caution, and with the best interest of our guests, staff, interns and volunteers in mind, the Nature Center is temporarily closed to the public.

The Conservancy of Southwest Florida is committed to the health and safety of our staff, members and guests, and we are closely monitoring developments around the Coronavirus (COVID-19) through the Centers for Disease Control, local government and other resources.

We are making decisions with the most updated information available. Should the situation change, we will reevaluate and communicate policies and procedures.

The von Arx Wildlife Hospital will remain open to treat all of the injured and orphaned animals in our care. Though the Nature Center is closed, you can enter through the 14th Street entrance if you have an injured animal to drop off.

As always, if you find an injured animal, you can call us at 239–262-CARE so we can walk you through the process.

Any updates will be posted to www.conservancy.org.

We appreciate your continued support. Although the Nature Center is closed, the Conservancy staff will continue its work protecting Southwest Florida’s water, land, wildlife and future.
