Online and instore solution for Soeder*
I was approached by Johan while he was on the hunt for partners to start Soeder*. A small brand that produces all their products in Europe in an ethical and sustainable way. I was given the reigns of the website to find a cheap way for us to get a solution that would work online and in store and making sure that the shipping and inventory software would work seamlessly. We ended up deciding on Shopify. Which wasnt quite europe friendly during that time. This was years ago when ipad checkout systems where just being introced to the market. But with some patience and perseverance we managed to bootstrap a viable solution that is still online today. It was a fun experience and truly done on a shoelace budget — correction, no budget :-)-
The experience taught me alot about POS systems and inventory. As well as redesigning shopify themes with their .liquid files. Not to mention how much of a headache multi language support was a few years ago!
Its been a pleasure to watch the difficulties a startup like Soeder faces and keeping everyone in the team happy and on the same page. Soeder is still going strong and the website is still humming away!
