Ferrenline Prasetio, Adeline Marshanda Wijaya and Valeshia Lauren, these are the three names who created a small ripple that is worth celebrating — clinching Gold, Silver and Bronze on their first experience participating internationally in INDIGO Design Awards 2019 hosted in Malaga, Spain. This may seem like just a personal achievement, but it goes more than that, it’s about organic growth.

Batavia Typeface — Gold Award for Typography Design

Ferrenline Prasetio won the Gold Award for Typography Design and Silver Award for Branding. Christo Wahyudi, a typography connoisseur, guided her through the process and what is worth more than just an outlook. It all starts with understanding the purpose and the adaptation process into the present moment. Christo’s influence in the development process creates value that is much needed in a fast-paced society that we are living in.

A Gateway to A Different World — Bronze Award for Packaging

Adeline Marshanda Wijaya and Valeshia Lauren won the Bronze Award for Packaging Design. A bittersweet experience from the production until the submission process. Perseverance created the urge to challenge themselves further after not being shortlisted in one of the competitions in Japan and it’s their sense of ownership that created a void that they have to fulfil.

A Japanese proverb “Even in a room of a thousand tatami mats, you will only sleep on one”. Focus is vital in creating more value apart from the original form and function. They have shown persistent growth throughout their design education, and this is just beginning. It’s more than just an achievement; it’s an inspiration for their peers to elevate further in creating value in themselves. An organic environment built for growth creates more than just success stories; it creates a new path.
