What ACTUALLY caused the Mandela Effect?

You have probably heard of the Mandela Effect, and if you have, your version of it might be wildly different than mine. The effect originated in 2013 when Nelson Mandela died, and many people became confused because they thought he had died in prison in the 80s. People who believe Mandela died in the 80’s claim to vividly remember the memorial and even a speech given by his wife. It is strange that an entire group of people around the world, who have not all communicated with one another remember the same thing inaccurately. How could a massive group of people remember the same (innaccurate) event as fact?

Many examples of the Mandela effect can be blamed on how we remembered things as children. Cartoons we watched all the time have changed. They are not as many of us remember them. How do you remember these cartoons?
