Towing trouble tripled in Bangalore!

People are a little laid back when it comes to following rules and regulations. Jumping the signal, tripling in two wheelers, these are the things we do on a daily basis without even thinking twice. But all that is changing fast.
Bangalore police has news for you. Although the fine for parking in a no parking zone remains the same, the towing charges have been revised. Now you’ll have to shell out a good sum of money if you want your sweet ride back if it ever gets towed.
Due to increase in fuel rates and labour charges, the cost of towing has increased. Another reason that there has been an increase in the number of four wheeler towing is that the number of towing vehicles available to the police via contractors have increased.
More number of towing vehicles available to the police.
The towing charges of two wheelers have increased from Rs 200 to Rs 750, for four wheelers it has increased from Rs 300 to Rs 1100. For MMV and HMV the rates have been from Rs 450 to Rs 1350 and from Rs 500 to Rs1600 respectively.
With the rates being roughly triple from what they were before, you definitely don’t want your vehicle to be towed. The hassel of getting your vehicle back is an added bonus to the cost of paying the fine and charges. Your car may even be damaged while being towed and it’s your responsibility to fix it. Considering all these factors it’s very important to find a safe parking space.
