$DAG Defined
We talk a lot about $DAG in our community and on our social channels. If you’re new to Constellation, or even if you’ve been with us for awhile, we’ve broken down into simple bulletpoints what $DAG is, why you should hold some, and where you can buy it.
What is $DAG?
- $DAG is a native cryptocurrency on Constellation’s decentralized Hypergraph Network
- It is a financial state channel where the transactions are validated by community node operators on the Hypergraph
- Allows for seamless exchange and interaction between the various state channels, nodes, and L_0 tokens and businesses on the Hypergraph
- Tokenomics are based on economic efficiencies applying generative calculus where global system of no arbitrage economies can be formed out of consensus protocols. Read our Tokenomics here.
- The Stargazer Wallet is a Google Browser Extension supported by Constellation Network and can be installed here. We also have a series of video tutorials here.
- The wallet supports zero transaction fee for peer to peer transfer of $DAG
Why $DAG?
- Scarcity: Limited supply of tokens
- Technology: Used for transferability (bandwidth of the network) for token projects and tokenized data
- Lattice Exchange: Cross-chain liquidity and swapping requires liquidity (similar to Uniswap requires Eth for swapping)
- Node (Validator Rewards): Use $DAG to run a node on Constellation’s Hypergraph Protocol to validate data and transactions and receive validator rewards of $DAG
- L_0 State Channels: Projects looking for liquidity will need to attract $DAG to gain use of the Hypergraph Network, such as:
Alkimi Exchange — Building the first decentralized ad exchange on top of Constellation’s Hypergraph Protocol.
- Stake $DAG on Lattice Exchange to ensure there is sufficient bandwidth to support real-time bidding (RTB) trading of digital ad impressions on Alkimi Exchange
- Secure network utility on Constellation’s Hypergraph, enabling cross-chain liquidity between other ecosystems.
