1 (tie). Renaissance ClubSport Aliso Viejo Laguna Beach Hotel

Pros: Amazing community gym (nicer then Equinox) with a huge pool and free fitness classes; nice neighborhood hotel bar.
Cons: Rooms look a little dated.

Pros: Slick and modern rooms; rooftop lounge (Wed-Sat); great restaurant; M-Club; good gym.
Cons: Practically none.

Pros: Beautiful setup; large hotel with bed ’n’ breakfast feel; close to the beach.
Cons: A bit far from the rest of OC (apart from Newport Beach).

Pros: Very nicely renovated.
Cons: The much-nicer Irvine Spectrum Marriott is only a 5 minute drive away.

Cons: No late night restaurant on-site; too family oriented.
