Tell us a bit about yourself and what your currently working on?

My name is Tanya Butenko and I started programming around 3.5 years ago. For last 1.5 years I’ve worked as a full-stack JavaScript developer at Tab Corp and I love coding a lot! My passion for code extends beyond the workplace — I’m also a founder of NodeGirls Australia — free coding and informational workshops for women, a co-organiser of Women Who Code Sydney and free coding events enthusiast in general.

What’s your favourite thing about the Australian tech community?

It is amazingly friendly and open to everyone. There’s a huge range of meetups and support too. Our tech community always has a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy interesting talks or conversations while having a beer.

What are you most looking forward to at Container Camp?

I’m really looking forward to Container Camp — it’s always great to hear about the latest technologies and good practices from international experts. I’m currently using Docker at work and would love to hear more about other related technologies. The workshops are not to be missed either — hands on learning is always my favourite part of a conference. And, of course, networking with the community.

Join Tanya at one of the next Women Who Code Sydney or Node Girls Sydney meetups.
