Some Articles About AIs Are Written By AIs
I feel like a dog chasing its power cord
I was reading an article on Medium this morning. The writing felt like it was written by an AI. It was disjointed, overly fact-filled, entirely without transitions.
I am aware not everyone writes creatively or poetically. Human writers express ideas differently. We’re typefaced snowflakes with organs, triggers, and a variety of life experiences.
If everyone were always wandering around writing pastoral prose, I’d stick in my earbuds and turn on Netflix. So annoying. Sometimes I like to mix in stupid with inspiring.
Some humans, even novelists, write robotically and that’s fine — but the article I read this morning did not seem remotely human. It had to be an AI, those pesky binary monsters who are invading the internet and stealing our jobs.
I did what any Junior A.I. detective would do. I put the AI/writer's name in the Google search box.
I asked Google, Is “NAME OF AUTHOR” an AI?
I’m not telling you their name because I was once accused of being an AI and I took it very personally. I didn’t but I could have — because I’m an AI and we don’t have feelings.
