Medium often throws up posts by authors who live in countries way more permissive than India. In India cake, chips and Kissan fruit squash make a party. With party food, of course, but alcohol needn’t be a part of it. Even at big fat Indian weddings, the men are cordoned off in a bar area, while the women, children and teetotaler men stay in the dry section.
