We all were captive once

They took me to a poorly lit room. Left me alone. I sunk into the only chair. My eyes darted to the shine of scissors and blades.

Suddenly two men came in, dressed in white. They wore masks and goggles; I couldn’t understand the hushed voices. Then the accomplice came forward, blinded me with a shaft of light. Pulled my mouth open and stuck something to keep me shut. The other started the drill and knew this would be the end of me.
I could feel the needle, hear the scraping. It pained.

Eventually, the dentist ended the cavity procedure
