Dualism in Disguise
The transformative power of self-expression
Very picture of tranquility, face of one without
Trappings of flamboyancy, scarcely leaving a doubt
Ambulating in slow motion, precise in read-out
Raging within, barely withheld by redoubt
Thrashing against ramparts, threatening to break out
Bosom quaking, groaning, dueling to burnout
Threshold surpassed, yielding, fissures now sprout
Bursting, unshackled, elixir guided by spout
Plunging into depths, unblinking darkness en route
Slithering against surface, cascading rise thus wrought
Fluid transpiration, camouflaged buoy peering out
Molded by fire, sculpted through sheer will of thought
Novel, inconceivable, unexpected manifestation now brought
Into being, now willing, conduit of passion once fought
To contain, too timid, too transfixed by fear to exalt
New character, same play, on world’s stage to evolve.
