Picture this. You’re ready to make your mark in a brand new world — one of Magic and Adventure, where you’ll create the hero that reflects YOU. Excitement builds as you access the character customizer, only for it all to come crashing down — limited options which barely get close to what’s necessary when creating character masterpieces!

It’s like developers suddenly forgot that we live in an era where technology is constantly improving! Thankfully, some saviors have come along and shown us what our characters can be capable of. Enter Fallout 4 from 2015, a revolutionary game with its offerings for customizing players’ looks AND names being actually addressed by NPCs?!? It might seem inconsequential at first glance, but trust me when I say this stuff matters — immersion and connection to both your character and the gaming world made possible around you.

In a world where gaming is more popular than ever, you’d think developers would be cranking out titles that let players customize their characters in any way imaginable. But the reality of it falls far short! What gives? Could it be that game designers are too busy crafting sweet graphics or new gameplay mechanics to fully explore character…
