A small yet profound reflection

Heart-Based Surrender

Surrender & following the heart seem to be life’s recent theme — and it’s working.

Surrender to the flow — to God‘s will. You’re never actually in control, and remember — everything is inter-being with one another. When you surrender, you allow life to flow through you. Less friction, more natural movement through life. You actually allow what’s meant to come for you instead of trying to move life in ways you think will be good for you. Surrender, then act. Then surrender again, then act again.

When you drop into the heart and out of the head… That’s where the magic happens. Our minds lie to us all the time. They’re critical, scared, protective, presumptuous, and make up the silliest stories.

Your internal sensations are like a built-in compass. The more you practice feeling them, the stronger and more obvious they’ll become to you. And they’ll never lead you astray. Trust them. The animal kingdom feel when it’s time to hibernate, fly south or mate. They don’t try to mentally decipher how nature works and plan and time every move they think is the smartest. They follow that inner connection and knowing. We’ve generally lost this ability, but it’s still within us. We’re made of and inextricably connected to nature.

Surrendering is a practice that has brought me the most peace. It’s taken a huge weight off my shoulders and moved it onto something much bigger and wiser than myself.

Following my heart has melted away anxiety, put a bigger smile on my face and brought me to places I never thought I’d go. It’s relaxed me into a self-love that makes every experience lighter and brighter.

Let go of your self-imposed chains and trust. It will work out just as it should. Probably better than you could’ve imagined.

Nature is always supporting you.

God is always supporting you.

You are supported.

Trust and flow.
