Let’s be honest! How many times has it happened with you that you buy books, neatly organise them on your shelf, make a reading list, and then eventually end up not reading any of them?

I suppose it has happened with most of us. Well, I won’t deny it, but it has happened to me several times. While shopping for a different item, I often find myself irresistibly drawn to the bookshop. I initially decide to purchase just one or two books, but as I begin to select one, then two, and subsequently three, I ultimately find myself purchasing a bundle of books. I feel a bit embarrassed at my own weakness, but nonetheless, upon returning home, I feel the rush to arrange those books nicely on my bookshelf and create a reading list so as to complete the bundle within a few months. Then, I retire to bed with my mind fully made up to dedicate an hour each day to reading these books.

However, as time passes and months slip away, the books remain just as neatly arranged and untouched on the bookshelf as they were on the day of their purchase.
