Community of Two

What is a relationship

If not a community of two?

When the feelings of both

Are mutually related

And differences far and few?

To live under the same roof

Of understanding

To break bread

In common union

And fellowship inspiring?

Together in trouble

Inseparable in joy

Facing the odds of lucky chance

While dropping divisions

Like milk and soy.

To relate deeply

Is to commune freely

To exhaust the boundaries

Defining our unique self

That we hold on to dearly.

When I can say

What’s your’s is mine

And what’s mine is your’s

I have arrived at the place where

You are mine and I am yours.
