Let Go… Let Life Flow

No matter how hard I try, there are things I cannot just let go.

Or simply move on although someone tells me its in my best interest.

It’s easy to say let go when you’ve never been so attached that separation leaves you breathless.

It’s easy to say move on when you’ve never wanted something so badly that the alternative is unthinkable.

It’s frustrating when someone says these phrases as if it was an easy decision.

It’s not easy when there are whirlpools of emotions whipped in with an ocean of hope in the head and heart that resist the act of letting go.

And yet, let go, we will.

By allowing the foundations to fall through, we can start all over again.

We might take small steps towards building a new life. Then retreat two steps and feel the pain, almost like guilt for moving on.

Tears flow.

We find courage for another new step.

Life starts to flow when you realize there is no way back. The place we left behind is now just ruins, a place of no peace.

You let go by holding on to something new.

You move on by building a new world.

The moment life becomes exciting and engaging — that’s when you start truly letting go.

One day you might look back and smile because you can finally see that the loss was always a part of a bigger plan.

And by letting go, you allowed life to flow.
