Happy Thursday, everyone! It’s finally bouncing past 70 degrees in my city this weekend and it feels like summertime is finally here.

  • GrubHub really shot themselves in the foot (Buzzfeed News). In what world did the corporate minds of GrubHub think this campaign would succeed? During their 3-hour promo in New York City to give office workers “free lunch” (a.k.a. $15 off their orders), the app was averaging 6,000 orders per minute. Results: stressed restaurant workers, stressed delivery drivers, stressed office workers, and a broken system. One guy was told he was 3,630th place in line for GrubHub’s customer service line. Yikes.
  • Daniel Ricciardo is America’s first Formula 1 superstar (GQ). Is that true? Maybe. He’s a superstar in my world. Hop on the Formula 1 train with me (we’re only a few races into this season) by falling in love with Danny Ricky on Netflix’s Drive to Survive.
  • Feral vs Clean Girl (Sunday Scaries). I deleted TikTok again yesterday because I have zero self-control with my screentime and seeing one more “That Girl” morning routine might truly push me over the edge. In Will Defries’ Substack newsletter, he discusses the differences between these new labeled aesthetics. Are we done with trendy labeled aesthetics yet? Please?
  • U.S. Women’s soccer finally reaches equal pay (Fast Company). Considering the team is seeking to defend their title with a *third* consecutive World Cup championship, it’s safe to say this is well-earned. Especially in comparison to the mediocre (at best) U.S. Men’s team.
  • The SI Swimsuit Issue is upon us (Sports Illustrated). This year’s cover models include Elon Musk’s mom. I’m not kidding.

Thanks for reading! See you tomorrow.
