Game changer: Medium allows embedding web pages into your articles

Medium just added a game changing feature that allows one to easily embed stories from other websites into their articles. This feature which is reminiscent of Storify makes it easy to create collections of stories. Rather than linking directly to the content Medium will extract summaries from the articles making them more useful and easier to read.
The feature is easy to use. Simply add an embed, type the link and then hit return. Boom:
This is a slap in the face of Storify. Medium is now directly competing with them. I think Medium’s implementation of this feature is much more elegant than Storify’s version.
It will be interesting to see how Storify responds.
