When you do have your own blog, you might be familiar with plugins. So we’re not going to get into the whole plugin installing tutorial. You will need to install a blogging plugin called >> Pretty Links Lite <<. You are going to generate more sales with blogging and affiliate marketing this way.
After installing and activating your Free Pretty Links Lite Plugin with blogging. Choose the “Add New” option. You should then be redirected to a new page similar to the one illustrated below. This is where you are going to cloak your affiliate links. But with a twist!
As for the “twist”, we will get to that in a bit. First, let’s get you through cloaking your first affiliate link, shall we? Illustrated above with the red arrows, are the areas to complete. Cloaked link title, redirection, target URL, and pretty link slug.
For the title of this affiliate marketing sales strategy with blogging, choose something related to the product. This way you will recognise the different affiliate offers from one another. But also use target keywords.
Think of your “Pretty Link” title as you would any blogging post or blogging page title. You will learn why in a bit. The Pretty Links Lite title is just as important as any other title.

Your “Pretty Links Lite” URL slug should contain 2 to 4 target keywords best describing the affiliate offer. Also, separate them with a hyphen (-). This way the link will become indexable in search engines.
That is why the title is so important. It forms part of how your link displays in search engine's search result pages. Generating affiliate marketing sales with blogging, and direct search engine traffic.
With this simple link-cloaking technique. Once done, your cloaked affiliate link should look something like demonstrated below. It is now recognised as a blogging page or post and no longer an affiliate link.

This affiliate product is called Simple Traffic Solutions created by John Thornhill. But the point is that this link is indexed in Google, and when visitors click the link. Then they are redirected to the affiliate product sales page.
This plugin is a definite must-have for any affiliate marketing blogger, it is by far the best cloaking strategy online! But it doesn’t stop there, you can also leverage your blogging primary menu. Because you now have the proper cloaked affiliate links.
Blogging menu tricks for affiliate marketing sales.
You now have the perfect links to use with your blogging primary menu. Instead of blog pages, you can include affiliate offers in the primary menu as “blog pages”. Search engines will recognise and identify these links as such.
From inside your blogging C-Panel, you want to mosey over to the “Menus” section, usually under “Appearance”. Then choose which links you want to add through the “Custom Links” option. A sure way to boost your affiliate marketing sales is with blogging.
As illustrated below. When you click on the tiny “arrow” you will see the options for “URL” and “Link Text” in the drop-down menu. This is where those affiliate links you have just cloaked with Pretty Link Lite must be used. Enter the URL and choose the link text.
With the link text, bear in mind it is part of the “Primary Menu”, not the cloaked link “Title”. Therefore, you want to keep it short. Preferably 2 to 3 words, chosen from target keywords related to the affiliate offer.
Once done, just click on “Add To Menu” and your new blogging “page” will now have an affiliate offer redirect (in search engines). But you can also choose to use a mixture of blog pages, posts, (cloaked) affiliate links, and much more.
You can also create a free website with Canva for instance, as we have done. Then cloak that website link with Pretty Links Lite and add it under the menu tab “Website”. But as you can see in the illustration.
We are also redirecting to our Medium profile, and the “About Us” tab redirects to our Medium “About” page. However, all links you decide to use (apart from actual blog posts and pages) must be cloaked with Pretty Links Lite.
