If you want to generate sales online, you need quality traffic in both volume and quality (Preferably GEO Targeted). What better place than the 3 most visited websites on the planet! Google, YouTube, and Facebook?

With all 3 of these giants, you have the option to use paid ads, which can be profitable, provided you are familiar with paid ads. Along with how to create exactly what your visitors want to see.

But as we all know, they can also be leveraged for high-quality traffic 100% free. There are several content marketing strategies involving these sites, and rightly so.

My aim is just to share a few content marketing strategies with Google, YouTube, and Facebook I find rather effective. Especially considering a monthly combined visitor count of 28.4 Billion USA visitors according to SEMrush!

Targeting search engines for traffic becomes easier once you understand how search engines view your content. Among The Top 10 SEO Tools (Software And Extensions) online you will find.

SEMrush.

SimilarWeb.

MozBar.

Tube Buddy.

Remember that your title is what will display in search page results, therefore an exact search term comes highly recommended. As I will demonstrate a little later with Medium.

A brand new Medium profile and some posts are already receiving visitors from Google only 9 days running, at the time of publishing this post!

But first, you need to understand the importance of an indexable URL. A direct or raw affiliate link is not an indexable link. Things like (websites, blogs, and articles) however, is an indexable URL!

Google Indexable URLs For All Search Engines.

Sharing raw affiliate links is so “sixties” if one can call it that. Not that I have a problem with the 60s, because I was born in 1969. Admittedly, it makes me a bit of a technological dinosaur! But that’s beside the point.

Sharing raw affiliate links will only end in failure and disappointment! You NEVER share affiliate offer URLs directly. You need some form of indexable URL or landing page that is accepted by search engines.

From there you redirect to the affiliate offer, in the case of articles and answers. You always include a bridge page URL to redirect to another URL or affiliate offer. The following are among some of your options to create free indexable links with search engines.

WordPress Blogs.

Google Blogger.

Wix Websites.

WordPress Websites.

Medium Posts.

Quora Answers.

Depending on what you’re aiming at achieving, and what the purpose of your one-page website is. This is an extremely effective way to get search engine traffic to any URL.

All you need to show up on search result pages is an indexable URL! Give search engines something to display. Although it is believed that word count is not a direct SEO ranking factor, it does contribute to user experience (UX).

User experience in turn (how effectively your content solves a problem) is a major ranking factor. Along with site load speed, especially on mobile devices.

Indexable URLs should provide high-quality unique content. Targeted to specific, preferably GEO and age-targeted audiences! That is the most important part of an indexable URL. It must be targeted.

Google Leveraging With Link Indexing Strategies.

Just in case you do have really great content, but it is not an indexable URL (Like Affiliate Links For Instance). Then you can use a cloaking strategy that indexes any URL in search engines.

But we have already covered that in another post on Medium. As you can see below, a Clickbank affiliate offer. The indexed URL redirects to the Clickbank offer, and it shows up in search engines (Simple Traffic Solutions by John Thornhill).

For this indexing strategy, however, you will need your own hosted domain. Because it works with a certain plugin. You may want to check out the post on how to index any URL in search engines.

Medium For Google And Search Engine Exposure.

For the purpose of this demonstration, note that the search phrase that this particular Medium post is showing up in Google search results for is — “USA Targeted Google Ads Traffic To Affiliate Links”.

Now, the search volume for this particular phrase may not be that high, but it is specific. People who are looking to understand Google Ads and want Affiliate Link Traffic might most likely end up exactly where you want them to.

In this case, your Medium post. What I have experienced with Medium, is that your post title is the exact search term your article will show up in search result pages for.

Just like your blog post title, YouTube video title, or any other title with an indexable URL. What I didn’t know is how fast that can happen with writing on Medium and Quora.

As mentioned earlier, for this particular Medium profile I had to start completely over. Long story and besides the point, but relevant nonetheless. The first 9 days resulted in 202 views, 125 reads, 24 fans, and a consistently growing audience.

Perhaps a bit slow, but consistent, which I value much more. One of the publications is already receiving traffic from Google. Along with several other referrals like email, and Quora.

But that is an entire content marketing strategy on its own. All I can tell you is that your Quora answers can also show up in search engines as your Medium posts do.

Now the traffic volume may not be much, but pretty targeted considering the quality of the referral URLs. Medium, Email, Direct, Google, and Quora! To me, this makes a lot of SEO sense!

This happened within the first 9 days of a brand new Medium profile and publications. Truth be told, I never gave these indexing strategies much though, until I started seeing my articles and answers showing up on search result pages.

Above you can see the Medium publication in the first position right beneath the Google Ads on the first page. The first page for that specific search phrase or search term (Post Title).

USA Targeted Google Ads Traffic To Affiliate Links” Now all I need to do is to look deeper into this content marketing strategy with Medium. With this particular article, I am targeting the obvious, just to see what happens.

YouTube And Google Traffic Without Making Videos.

YouTube videos can also be indexed in search engines, the best part is that you don’t even need to make any videos. Although there are several free tools you can use to create videos. My personal favourite is Canva.

Leveraging videos starts by simply using the Google Trends tool, and then focusing your video title on that particular phrase or sentence. Focus on something your ideal visitors would be most likely to type into their browser search.

Getting videos to upload is the easy part when you know how to leverage Creative Commons videos on YouTube. Then use the search terms most related to the Google trends phrase.

As seen above, the search term, “Passive Online Income” has increased in the United States over the last 5 years. But this is only for demonstration purposes.

This entire YouTube strategy is covered in much more detail in another Medium publication. You might want to read this one too and put this all together.

Using Facebook Pages And Groups.

Also covered in-depth with another post on Medium. Using Facebook pages and groups provides you with a few exposure options. Like pinned posts, featured posts, and call-to-action buttons.

I think that about covers my latest discovery, on how fast a new profile can gain momentum with Medium. You may well have heard the Facebook pages and groups “broken record”, so to speak.

The fact remains that Facebook is the third-largest search engine on the planet. Focusing on Google, YouTube, and Facebook in my opinion is worth the effort.

But that too is a topic we have already covered in another Medium publication. This might be a lot to take in, but I can assure you that all these content marketing strategies combined work really well for quality traffic!
