Don’t Ignore This: Microsoft Is Deleting Your Saved Passwords
In six weeks, your saved logins in Microsoft Authenticator will vanish. Here’s what you need to know—and do.
Microsoft just announced it’s getting rid of saved passwords in its Authenticator app starting August 2025. As reported by Forbes
That means if you rely on it for auto-filling your passwords, it's time to find out new ways to protect your accounts.
First of all, let’s find out what the details are.
Why Is This Happening?

So, now Microsoft (and Google, too, by the way) has had enough. They’re moving toward something better: passkeys.
What Are Passkeys?
Think of passkeys as your fingerprint or face scan—something only you have.
