Welcome to part 3 of my series.

Who can forget those childhood memories when everyone shared the emotional and financial burden of each other?

Neighbours would walk in without knocking. If my mother ran out of sugar, she’d send me to the house next door to borrow some.

If someone was sick, the entire neighbourhood knew about it—and helped financially and emotionally.

We belonged to each other.

But today?

We live in walled houses with security cameras, locked gates, and passwords for everything.

We don’t even know the names of the people living next door.

And we wonder why loneliness is at an all-time high.

A few weeks ago, my friend’s father passed away as I already discussed in Part 1 of this series.

The shocking part? His neighbours didn’t even know. They only found out through a WhatsApp message in their community group. Can you imagine?

This is the world we’ve built…
