There was a wave of account suspensions from the Medium Partner Program at the beginning of this week, as the holiday season ended for Medium staff.

I, among many other writers, raised my voice for a few accounts that were suspended, who were genuine writers and apparently never involved in spamming activities or engagement farming as described by Medium.

I also wrote Writers Deserve Answers, Not Just Glitches and Low Earnings

So finally Medium responded to everyone, and Scott Lamb wrote a comprehensive post answering most of the hot questions that arose in the last few days.

You can read his detailed response on Why we’ve suspended Partner Program accounts this week

My Opinion

I’ve been advocating ever since this account revocation policy started that Medium should adapt as strict rules as possible to keep this platform’s integrity on top.

But, in the recent account suspension drive, I know a few people personally who have never been involved in violation of the platform’s rules, but they also got suspended.
